Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Computers & Peripherals, Semiconductor and Biotech & Medical Care sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted gained 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Bonny Worldwide Ltd (TW:8467), which rose 10.00% or 24.50 points to trade at 269.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) added 9.95% or 3.15 points to end at 34.80 and Foxsemicon Integrated Technology Inc (TW:3413) was up 9.87% or 31.00 points to 345.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which fell 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Enlight Corp (TW:2438) was down 9.66% or 5.10 points to 47.70.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Bonny Worldwide Ltd (TW:8467) rose to all time highs; gaining 10.00% or 24.50 to 269.50. Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) fell to all time lows; down 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90. Shares in Creative Sensor Inc (TW:8249) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.95% or 3.15 to 34.80.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.06% or 0.72 to $68.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.97% or 0.69 to hit $71.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 6.20 to trade at $2,518.40 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.17% to 32.10, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.14% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 101.34.
